Titans Honored at Annual MACS Banquet
January 29, 2007...
Multiple members of the Titans soccer program were honored at
the Annual MACS banquet which took place at Michael's 8th Avenue in
Glen Burnie, MD. MACS (Maryland
Association of Coaches of Soccer) recognizes the accomplishments
of both High School players and coaches, and works in conjunction
with the NSCAA to recognize individuals at the Regional and National
level.
Senior back Leeza Constantoulakis was recognized for being
named 2006 MACS 1st Team All-State,
while juniors Courtney Yee (2nd Team All-State) and Emily Grant
(Honorable Mention All-State) were also honored.
Leeza Constantoulakis,
a senior back, is a 4-year team captain and has led the Titans to
2 state titles and a career record of 47-11. As the leader of
the Titans defense, she has led the side to 30 shutouts during her
career. She was named the 2006 Frederick News-Post Defensive
Player of the Year and is a 3-time 1st Team All-MVAL selection.
Courtney Yee,
a junior midfielder, is a two time All-State selection having been
named HM All-State in 2004. In 2006, she became the Titans
career leading scorer with 39 goals and 17 assists. A 3-time
1st Team All-MVAL selection, Yee has notched 3 goals in State Final
games.
Emily Grant,
a junior midfielder, recorded 9 goals and 7 assists in her junior
year as she led the Titan attack from her central midfield position.
A 3-year starter, Grant was also a 2006 All-MVAL 1st Team selection.
She is currently 3rd on the Titans All-Time scoring list with 15
goals and 13 assists. |
