Junior Emily Grant Commits to Vanderbilt University

May 17, 2007...  Junior Emily Grant has verbally committed to continue her academic and athletic career at Vanderbilt University.  Vanderbilt competes in the prestigious SEC and finished the 2006 regular season tied for 2nd.  The Commodores advanced to the NCAA tournament for the 2nd consecutive year before falling to Clemson in penalties.

Grant is a 3-year starter for the Titans and helped lead them to State Championships in 2004 and 2005.  In 2006, Grant was named to the Maryland All-State team and was a 1st team All-MVAL and All-Frederick News Post selection.

For her career, Grant has recorded 15 goals and 13 assists, placing her third on the schools all-time scoring list.  A 2-year captain, Grant will lead the Titans from her central midfield position in her senior campaign this coming fall.
