Alumni Update - Franklin Named to Soccerbuzz National Team of the Week
September 11, 2007...
Molly Franklin has
helped lead Clemson to a 4-0 start and a #17 national ranking in the
NSCAA/Adidas poll. In the Tigers first four games, Franklin has
recorded 1 goal and 6 assists and is currently first in the nation in
assists per game. For her performance, she was named to the
Soccerbuzz National Team of the Week.
Jessie Nino continued her strong freshmen campaign for Wesley College
this past week with a goal in their 2-0 victory over Neumann College.
Nino is the side's leading scorer with 5 goals and 1 assist and has led
the team to a 4-1 record to open the season.
Chrissy Conrad has had a strong early season for Frostburg State
University and was rewarded this past week as she recorded her first
career goal in Frostburg's 5-2 victory over Marymount University.
Amanda Meehan continued her strong defensive effort for Loyola this past
week. The starting right back helped lead the Greyhounds to a 2-1
victory over #24 Wake Forest and a 1-1 tie with Virginia Tech.
Cami Griffin continues to recover from an early season hip injury as
Towson University has opened the season with a 3-1 record following a
1-0 loss this week against Navy.
