Holmes Commits to Shepherd University

After taking a year to study both
locally and abroad, 2007 graduate
Rachel Holmes has
committed to NCAA Division II
Shepherd
University (WV)
to continue her playing career at the collegiate level. A four
year starter for the Titans varsity team, Holmes was a 4-time All-MVAL
Conference selection.
She joins a Shepherd side that plays in the West Virginia
Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference and finished the 2007 season with a 7-11-1 record.
Holmes graduated as the 6th all-time leading scorer in Titans history
with 15 goals and 13 assists and was a key component on both the 2004
and 2005 State Championship teams. Holmes had a habit of coming up
big in the most important moments, recording 2 game winning goals and 3
game winning assists in the final two minutes of regulation or overtime.
She played club for the 1988 FC Frederick Premier team.
