2009 Tournament of Champions Released

July 10, 2009...  The Schedule for the 2009 Tuscarora Tournament of Champions includes nine schools from throughout the state including for the first time, a heavy contingent of Frederick County Schools.  This years field of teams includes Quince Orchard, River Hill, Reservoir, Northern, and C. Milton Wright who will join Frederick County sides Tuscarora, Urbana, Thomas Johnson, and Linganore.

The Tournament schedule is highlighted by two intriguing games.  The event will open on Friday night, Sept 4, with 2007 State Champion Urbana facing 3-time defending State Champion River Hill.  Saturday's games will begin with a rematch of the 2008 4A State Final, which went to penalties, between Quince Orchard and Thomas Johnson High Schools.
