Titans Improve to 3-1 on the Season  with Win Over North Hagerstown
  - Highlights coming soon
September 10, 2009...  The Titans hosted the defending Class 2A State Semifinalist North Hagerstown Hubs on Thursday evening and walked away with a 2-1 victory to improve their record to 3-1 on the season.

The Titans took control of the game from the outset with energetic play from the front six in pressuring the Hubs all over the field, not allowing them to get forward and into their dangerous group of frontrunners.  The Titans efforts almost paid off in the 15th minute when junior midfielder Claire Kelly played freshmen forward Aaran Parry around the Hubs defense, but her effort from 18 yards flew just wide of the far post.

Despite the Titans efforts, the Hubs struck first in the 24th minute against the run of play when Beth Wagner struck on a half volley from 25 yards.  The Titans responded quickly, knotting the game at 1-1 less then a minute later.  This time, Kelly and Parry got it right, as Kelly put Parry in behind the Hubs defense where she deftly beat the keeper from six yards.  The Titans maintained the pressure and went ahead for good seven minutes later when freshmen midfielder Emily Marhsall and Parry combined to put senior forward Michelle Rock in on the Hubs final defender.  Rock beat her to the right and launched a rocket from 15 yards that found the upper far post.

In the second half, both Parry and sophomore midfielder Katie King got in behind the Hubs defense, but missed on opportunities to put the game away.  Led by Katie King's defensive pressure, the Titans managed the remainder of the game for a 2-1 victory.  Senior goalkeeper Sarah Jo Hayden recorded four saves.

The JV Titans improved to 1-1 on the season with a 1-0 victory on a restart from 20 yards by sophomore back Kelly Jacobson.
